Not in My Name

Not in My Name did you carry Them –

To your Potters Field.

Not in My Name did you cincture your flounces-

In Chastity and Poverty.

Not in My Name blind to the stigmata of the Christ-

As you marked Their place with rusty nails.

Not in My Name-

Will you seek forgiveness.

There cannot be a mother who has not failed to be

dragged through the emotions of the

Mothers of  the Stolen 9000 babies in

Catholic Ireland (between 1922-1998) torn from their

breast and as an Irish  mother I grieve for those

babies and I dedicate these words to Them.
